Frequently Foiled

As you may or may not know I am slightly obsessed with Foils. I love them. I love them so much. I do not love how they wear but when put on with gel top coat they do slightly better. I couldnt get this to photograph properly but its actually an Ombre. Dark to light. Anyway I hope you like it.

2014 Catch Up Post Four

You know how sometimes you try something you half saw on Pinterest or somewhere but you cant quite place it and it works and for the life of you there is no recollection of where you saw it but its so awesome you want to remember? Gellie Beans Burnt Meringue with CND Gilded Gleam brushed over a piece of netting. The Additives stick right to the tacky layer so if you dont like the way it comes out simply wipe off with alcohol, apply a thin layer of either the color or top coat, cure and go again.

This is LeChat Black Velvet, THE best black gel I have found! So So good. No pullback, two coats to opaque, perfect. This is a hand painted swirly design I did over the top of the matte top coat. Looks so much better in person :)

Swatches Part Three

Since I went through and did swatches of all my stamping polishes and additives I thought I should update my Gel Polish swatches too :)

I have a mixture of Shellac, Gelish, Orly Gel FX and LeChat polishes. And I just ordered 8 more colors!!! Bad Kate :)

Mood Polish

LeChat have recently bought out a range of color change nail polishes. I WAS SO FRIGGEN EXCITED. Not only are they color change but they are GEL!!! Happy Kate is Happy :)

This is the Frozen Cold Spell. Two Coats with Gelish top and base coat. I had such a hard time trying to show the full color change and realistically I have totally bought these in the wrong season. Its currently in the mid to late 30's here and I had to play with ice cubes to make it change colors. Winter when my fingers are warm but the actual temperature is cold and these will be stunning!!!

Ignore my accent finger. I tried to put on a semi sheer snakeskin foil and it just really didnt work. It was fine until I put on the top coat, that it leeched out all the colors and just made it dark unless you look really closely.
