2014 Catch Up Post Four

You know how sometimes you try something you half saw on Pinterest or somewhere but you cant quite place it and it works and for the life of you there is no recollection of where you saw it but its so awesome you want to remember? Anyway some of these are that. If the sentence above was to make any sense at all which it doesnt.

K

Gellie Beans Burnt Meringue with CND Gilded Gleam brushed over a piece of netting. The Additives stick right to the tacky layer so if you dont like the way it comes out simply wipe off with alcohol, apply a thin layer of either the color or top coat, cure and go again.

Shellac Moonlight and Roses with Shell Nail Foil transfer.

Gelish Tiger Blossom, Orange Creme Dream, Tru Gel Designer Carry On, Shellac Bicycle Yellow, Gelish Coco Cabana Banana all over Gel II Arctic White.

Shellac Blue Rapture with Glitter in an Ombre from darkest to lightest.

Gelish Garden Teal Party with Tru Gel Lets Celebrate.

This is LeChat Black Velvet, THE best black gel I have found! So So good. No pullback, two coats to opaque, perfect. This is a hand painted swirly design I did over the top of the matte top coat. Looks so much better in person :)

The Tri-Polish Challenge March 19th

I have started another challenge!!! Glutton for punishment but the amazing girls at Crumpets Nail Tarts have come up with such an amazing idea so here goes.I have to use the SAME 3 colors in 4 manicures that I will post over the course of a month. This months colors are Coral, Green and Purple and have to be posted for the 19th/21st/26th/28th March. The colors I ended up choosing are Shellac Lilac Longing for my purple, Gelish Tiger Blossom for coral and Gelish Amazon Flirt for green. I am starting with simple and effective - the tape mani :)
Hope you like it and follow what everyone else is doing!

You can follow the challenge with the links above or through their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/purplecrumpetfairy/or on The Crumpets blog: http://www.the-crumpet.com/2013/03/the-tri-polish-challenge-starts-march.html

Lillies for a Lady

Ok so I am so clearly NOT a ladylike person at all. I swear like a sailor and I have a mean mean temper. I have got the shits on with working so badly I am totally scaring people. I got walked home simply because they needed to get me out of the office before I killed someone. Admittedly that someone was a stupid ass but murderers aren't allowed to paint their nails so probably not the best decision :)

Anyway in a bid to become slightly more ladylike and less of a murdering cow I decided that this lilly design from the Bundle Monster plates was a good start. Now I can just stare at my pretty nails and picture them wrapped around someones neck instead of just plotting with bad nails :)

This is Gelish Tiger Blossom and its lovely.

Challenge No 27 - Inspired by ARTWORK

If you google search Art Deco Posters you will come up with a million and one options. They all have many of the same designs in them. This nail is just a really simple one. Gelish Tiger Blossom with Mash - 41  stamped over it in one of my Cherimoya gradient polishes. One of my favorite nail looks to date. Just simple and classy but still nice and bright!!!!

New Colors!!!!

YAYAYYAYAAYYAYAYAY I LOVE IT WHEN NEW STUFF ARRIVES!!! This is the CND Sweet Dreams Collection :) SOOOOOOOO Pretty!!!!

And this is some random Gelish colors I have been lusting over and finally decided to buy :)

Challenge No 14 - Flowers

Today's nails are my Mums :) She needed some cheering up so I did her nails and toes in the Gelish Creme Orange. Its such a nice color and the photos just don't show it well. I then did a nail foil over the top that's a motif of daisies. Very easy and very cute. Made her smile every time she looked at them.

A Close up to see the flowers. Cute :)

Challenge No 2 - Orange Nails

Before applying foils.

Today I did the second Challenge out of the 31 - Orange Nails.
The base color is Gelish Orange Creme which is from the Candyland collection. I then used my glue pen to draw squiggly fire type lines up the nail and did the red foil. Repeated with orange foil and then smaller ones in gold foil. A very easy one just quite time consuming as you really do have to wait until the glue has dried properly or it just wont work.

The Gelish and foils I used.

Neon

I decided to give my nails a few days off from Gel Polishes so just did them with my Kleancolor Neon Mini collection.

Very cute I think ;)

.

Then on the second day As they had started to chip I put my OPI Spotted over the top. This polish is so cool but just beware, when they say thin coat they mean THIN COAT.

Eyeshadow Gradients

All I can say is wow! I am now officially obsessed with my new eyeshadow blending! I keep staring at my nails!!!!

This is the Shellac Rock Royalty with two eyeshadow colors blended on top.

I also did the lovely Julie's Nails last night. It's our girlie catch up ;) I did the Gelish Coco Cabana Banana with yellow and orange mineral eyeshadow. Then I applied the water transfer decal in the palm tree for a proper sunset color.

Specially for Boydie

These nails are special for Boydie. We were emailing the other day and she asked for nails to match the Hi-Vis work shirts we have to wear. She of course forgot that my shirts are yellow. But anyway here is the Hi-Vis Orange for you :) Told ya I had the right color.

This is the Gelish Orange Creme Dream. Once I had applied it I smudged a small amount of my new yellow eyeshadow onto the tips to lighten it a bit. Then I was looking at it and decided to add on the feather stickers. Anyway its cool and my nails arent bare so I dont feel naked for the day so all is well. Soon to come I will do the Hi-Vis of my workshirt for a comparison.
