2014 Catch Up Post Four

You know how sometimes you try something you half saw on Pinterest or somewhere but you cant quite place it and it works and for the life of you there is no recollection of where you saw it but its so awesome you want to remember? Anyway some of these are that. If the sentence above was to make any sense at all which it doesnt.

Gellie Beans Burnt Meringue with CND Gilded Gleam brushed over a piece of netting. The Additives stick right to the tacky layer so if you dont like the way it comes out simply wipe off with alcohol, apply a thin layer of either the color or top coat, cure and go again.

Shellac Moonlight and Roses with Shell Nail Foil transfer.

Gelish Tiger Blossom, Orange Creme Dream, Tru Gel Designer Carry On, Shellac Bicycle Yellow, Gelish Coco Cabana Banana all over Gel II Arctic White.

Shellac Blue Rapture with Glitter in an Ombre from darkest to lightest.

Gelish Garden Teal Party with Tru Gel Lets Celebrate.

This is LeChat Black Velvet, THE best black gel I have found! So So good. No pullback, two coats to opaque, perfect. This is a hand painted swirly design I did over the top of the matte top coat. Looks so much better in person :)

Challenge No 4 - Green Nails

Today I decided to go for the green :)
This is Gelish Coco Cabana Banana on Gelish base coat. I then left on the tacky layer and started to play with my eyeshadow pots. This has a metallic yellow, metallic orange and an amazing peacock green all layered on the nails. In true light the green really shows up. Its all intermingled with the yellow and orange but the pictures just arent showing it.
I then used my Konad Black Special Polish to stamp on the Koi Fish design from Plate A48.
Gelish top coat and done.

Challenge No 3 - Yellow Nails

For Challenge number three I had to do Yellow Nails. I work on a Construction Site and have to wear High Visibility shirts to work every day. They are a lovely (and exceedingly bright) yellow with blue bottom and silver high vis strips.

I used Gelish Cococabana Banana for the Yellow and Gelish Caution for the Blue. I then laid on strips of silver nail foil, dotted on buttons with Shellac Black Pool and then my usual Gelish Top Coat. Very Cool :)
The amazing flash of reflector strips on my shirt matches the nail foil well.
My Work Shirt that inspired the look.
Before i laid in the nail foil.

Fantasia Nail Foil

I have recently gone absolutely nuts and bought everything I could possibly ever need for my nails. To the point where I filled up my carrier and my friends were looking into suspending my Ebay account. One of the cooler things I have decided to try more of is the Nail Foils.

Arent they just the coolest!!! I did two coats of the Shellac Purple Purple and then cleaned off the tacky layer, painted with the glue and then did the foil and a layer of Gelish top coat.

This is them after the second day. Starting to wear off on the edges and around my cuticles where I didn't push down properly or seal properly with the top coat.

And this is with the flash so you can see the full strips of holographic in there.

All in all I think money well spent. I bought mine from a shop on Ebay called Shardee Designs this color of foil is called Fantasia.

Neon

I decided to give my nails a few days off from Gel Polishes so just did them with my Kleancolor Neon Mini collection.

Very cute I think ;)

.

Then on the second day As they had started to chip I put my OPI Spotted over the top. This polish is so cool but just beware, when they say thin coat they mean THIN COAT.

Eyeshadow Gradients

All I can say is wow! I am now officially obsessed with my new eyeshadow blending! I keep staring at my nails!!!!

This is the Shellac Rock Royalty with two eyeshadow colors blended on top.

I also did the lovely Julie's Nails last night. It's our girlie catch up ;) I did the Gelish Coco Cabana Banana with yellow and orange mineral eyeshadow. Then I applied the water transfer decal in the palm tree for a proper sunset color.

Yellow and Grey

I love yellow at the moment! Can't tell you why as its not a color I have ever really been into, but I'm obsessed!!
This set is to match with my MacBook ;)

This is Shellac Asphalt and Gelish Coco Cabana Banana. I also lightly dusted the Gelish with a coat of shimmery yellow eyeshadow to make the color less Neon and more shimmery.
The Neon color just absolutely GLOWS under the UV light. Very cool.

Catch Up

I am obsessed with Shellac. LOVE IT. This manicure (as dodgy as it is) is what re-started me on my nails.

As I work away I get really really bored so I do my nails ALOT. I am going to TRY and be a bit more regular with my posts but here is a few of the nails that I took photos of but never got around to posting.
These are the Cherimoya Gradient Set. Look very cool but they come in a set of 4 colors for the gradient and as you all know we have 5 fingers! Slightly annoying trying to find a 5th color to match.

This is the Shellac Black Pool with a normal polish striped across it. Black Pool is one of my favourite colours!

This is the Shellac Purple Purple with purple glitter sponged onto the tips.

This is from my pack of mini Kleancolor Retro City Polishes. Its called Metallic Orange #160 and I have a small nail sticker on it.

This is OPI Cajun Shrimp (Orange) and Lemonade Stand By Your Man (Yellow) again with a small decal. This one is a water transfer and it didn't settle as smooth as the stickers are.

I cannot remember the colors for theses ones but they still look good.

 This is the Shellac Tropix

This is Shellac Hot Chilis with a feather decal and small amount of glitter polish.

This is the Glitter Gal Marine Blue Holo. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color but I chip my nails too easily to wear this polish without the Shellac Top and Base Coats.
